This illustration reimagines the Tarot card of Temperance (XIV) through the lens of Western alchemical tradition. From above, two amphorae pour opposing liquids into the central vessel, evoking the alchemical operation of coagulatio et solutio—the fusion of opposites.

A coiled serpent, an ambivalent symbol of knowledge, guardian of secrets and agent of transformation, winds around the base of the image: an allusion to the Ouroboros, emblem of the eternal cycle of death and rebirth. In the background, symbols emerge that recall the alchemical process as a spiritual journey.
